86 to 30, come in, What's your position?

In the Gospels, it speaks of how Jesus was betrayed and arrested in the Garden. It goes on to say that Peter followed Jesus at a distance as Jesus was being taken to his trial in the the courtyard of the high priest. From there it states that Peter was now watching Jesus from a distance.

86 to 30, come in, What's your position?

In our relationship with Christ we can find ourselves walking side by side with Christ, communing with him, just like Peter use to. I believe at other times in our relationship with Christ we can find ourselves following Him at a distance, and even worse we can find ourselves just watching him from a distance.

I believe just following Him from behind or watching Him from a distance puts us in a very dangerous position. Just like Peter, it puts us in a position to Deny Christ. Not necessarily to deny Him verbally, but in our actions, deny Him in our everyday walk.

I think sometimes, when life is just speeding by, we get so busy and caught up, we forget to slow down sometimes. I think we need to slow down and ask ourselves, What is my position?
